Cora WIGHT

-The fifteenth birthday of Miss Cora WIGHT occurred last Friday. In the evening about sixty of her schoolmates and young friends surprised her by calling and presenting her with several very handsome presents. It was a very pleasant occasion and enjoyed by all who attended. Refreshments, music and other amusements were indulged in until the wee smal hours of the morning. (7 Jun 1888)

-The mother of Mrs. C. W. WIGHT and Mrs. J. F. HUM, and sister of Miss Cora WIGHT, of Dayton, Ohio, are making them a visit. (12 Jul 1888)

-Miss Cora WIGHT and her sister Miss Bessie METZLER spent two or three days last week in Frederic, visiting friends. (9 May 1889)

-A surprise party was given Miss Cora WIGHT, last Friday evening, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. HUM, in honor of her 16th birthday. The evening was spent very pleasantly by the guests in playing games and partaking of refreshments. She received some very nice presents. (6 Jun 1889)

Christian LARSON

-MARRIED-At the residence of the brides' father in this village, Saturday June 16, Miss Annie FISHER and Christian LARSON, Justice F. L. HADLEY officiating. (21 Jun 1881)

-CIRCUIT COURT.
On call of the calender Chris LARSON plead guilty to having his saloon open on Sunday, and Wednesday was sentenced to pay a fine of $100.00, and $15 cost, or 90 days in the Detroit House of Corrections. The fine was paid. (17 May 1900)

-DIED-At his home in this village October 19th, Christian LARSON, aged 39 years. Deceased has been troubled for a long time with fatty degeneration of the heart, which caused paralysis of the respiratory system, resulting suddenly in death. The funeral, on Tuesday, was largely attended, the Scandinavian Society, of which he was a member, going in a body. (23 Oct 1902)
