-James BALLARD, of Lewiston, and Miss Edith BALLARD, of Chesaning, came to Grayling, last week, on account of the serious illness of their father. Their coming was better than medicine, and "Uncle John" has improved rapidly. James has returned to his work on the ENTERPRISE. (18 May 1899)-Uncle John BALLARD celebrated his 84th birth day, last Sunday. On Monday he suffered another stroke of paralysis, and is now in a critical condition. (8 Feb 1900)
